This class is designed for artists who already have some painting experience and want to explore plein air in NYC. Together, we’ll focus on the magic of light, reflections, and the challenge of capturing them in real time. It’s not suited for complete beginners
If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 12 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations after this period may be subject to a partial refund or credit toward a future workshop.
Yes! Along with live demonstrations, you’ll receive personal guidance and one-on-one feedback throughout the workshop. I’ll work with each participant individually, helping you strengthen your technique and refine your painting skills at your own pace.
Location: near the main entrance of the New York Public Library. Full details will be provided to participants after registration.
In case of bad weather, the workshop will be postponed to another date.
What are the payment methods available?
This is a one-day, 5-hour workshop.
The primary medium for this workshop is oil paint. However, you are welcome to use other media, such as watercolor or gouache, if you prefer.
A full supply list will be provided upon registration. Generally, you’ll need:
- A portable easel
- Oil paints (or your preferred medium)
- Brushes, palette, and palette knife
- Canvas or panels
- Solvent and rags (if using oil paints)
- A sun hat, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing
Participants are expected to bring their own materials. A detailed supply list and recommendations will be sent after registration.
