Painted from life in a summer garden, this original oil painting captures a quiet, sunlit moment among blooming flowers. Red and yellow coneflowers fill the foreground, while a simple green watering can and terracotta planter become part of the rhythm of the garden.
What attracted me most was the strong summer light—how it breaks across the leaves, flowers and ground, creating a mosaic of warm highlights and cool violet-blue shadows. I worked with loose, expressive brushstrokes to preserve the freshness of the scene and the feeling of being surrounded by a garden at the height of summer.
The painting combines floral still life and garden landscape, celebrating the beauty of ordinary objects among growing flowers and sunlight.
